Chief Credit Officer, Permanent TSB 

David Curtis is a senior risk professional with more than thirty years of experience in banking. His varied career in both public and private sectors encompasses a range of disciplines including credit executive management risk management stress testing compliance audit (internal and external) and information management.

He is currently the chief credit officer with Permanent TSB a full-service Irish retail and small- and medium-enterprise bank and is responsible for the management of credit risk through the full credit lifecycle. He has held senior roles both within and outside of credit risk including risk chief operating officer Basel II programme director head of credit risk management and head of credit control in Irish Life and Permanent plc—a former Irish bank assurer.

Curtis is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where he received a master’s degree in business administration and has a degree in computer science. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants holds the Certified Bank Director qualification and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors .
