GARP will be making a series of key updates to our SCR Exam and curriculum for 2024. Starting with the October 2024 Exam, candidates can expect: 

• An Exam of 90 questions and two case studies over four hours, rather than 80 questions and one case study over three hours
• To receive all curriculum updates via our GARP Learning platform only; the SCR eBook included with registration will NOT include any of these new learnings covered on the October SCR Exam 

This information is applicable for all October 2024 exam candidates, including deferrals and retakes.

Due to local restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, GARP must postpone the upcoming FRM Part II Exams beginning November 24, 2022, in Wuhan, China. The FRM Exams will be deferred to May 2023.

• You are not allowed to leave Beijing within 7 days before the exam.

The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment. You must arrive in Nanjing at least 3 days before your exam appointment.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming November 2022 FRM Part I and FRM Part II Exams scheduled in Hangzhou, China will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must show Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
• If your tracking code shows you have not left Hangzhou, you must provide a negative NAT report 48hrs before your exam appointment.
• If your tracking code shows you traveled from other provinces to Hangzhou, you will need to provide a negative NAT report 24hrs before your exam appointment.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C
• All candidates must scan the Place Code upon arrival, and only candidates without "Gathering Activity Restricted" may enter the exam room.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming November 2022 FRM Part I and FRM Part II Exams scheduled in Xia’men, China will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must show Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
• If your tracking code shows you have not left Xia'men, you must provide a negative NAT report 48hrs before your exam appointment.
• If your tracking code shows you traveled from other cities to Xia'men, you will need to arrive in Xia’men 3 days before your exam appointment and provide 3 negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

• If your tracking code shows you are travelling from other provinces into Changsha, you are required to finish the application on the “My Changsha” App or the WeChat app. In addition, you will need to provide 2 negative NAT reports. The first is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment. All NAT tests need to be done in Changsha.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

• If your tracking code shows you traveled from other cities, you will need to provide 3 negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

• Provide 3 negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment. The NATs must be conducted in Sichuan.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

• Normal “Anxinchuxing” App (Blue or Yellow standing), if your app shows Red code, you will not be allowed to enter the exam.
• Provide negative RAT report 24hrs before your exam appointment
• Complete the Health Application form once you arrive at the test center.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

• If your tracking code shows you live in a low-risk region in Nanchang 7 days before your exam appointment, you will need to provide 2 negative NAT reports. The first is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment.
• If your tracking code shows you live in a low-risk region outside of Nanchang 7 days before your exam appointment, you will need to arrive in Nanchang 3 days before your exam appointment and provide 3 negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment.
• If your tracking code shows you stayed outside of Mainland China within 10 days before your exam appointment or show you have stayed in a medium/high-risk region 7 days before your exam appointment, you will NOT be allowed to sit for the exam.
• Temperature checks will be conducted; your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming November 2022 FRM Exams scheduled in Sri Lanka will occur as planned, all candidates must meet one of the below requirements:

• Letter from your Local MOH office certifying that you are not currently undergoing any form of Quarantine or any restriction (IE Lockdown, home Quarantine etc) in your PHI area. This is a letter that your PHI issues, or your request letter certified by your PHI. The letter should be dated within 5 days before your exam date. To locate your local PHI you may go to https://phi.lk/find-your-public-health-inspector-sri-lanka.html.
• Complete an antigen test taken within 24 hours of the test.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming November 2022 FRM Exams scheduled in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must show Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
• Ensure your MySejahtera is updated (current date), and COVID-19 risk status is at LOW (blue color)
• You must be:
• Fully vaccinated (double vaccination is required, Booster dose is recommended)
• Non-COVID positive
• Non-close contact to COVID Positive or asymptomatic cases
• Face masks are required
• Sanitize hands before entering the exam room
• Maintain 1-meter social distancing

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming November 2022 FRM Exams scheduled in Kuala Lumpur - Trainocate, Malaysia will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• While face masks are no longer mandatory in indoor settings in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, face masks are still required in the exam center. You must wear a face mask in order to enter the exam center.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming August 2022 Exams scheduled in Vietnam will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must have all three (3) doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
• You must wear your mask during the Exam.
• You must comply with the 5K standard of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming August 2022 Exams scheduled in the Philippines will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must be fully vaccinated, and your vaccination card must be presented upon check-in.
• You must take two (2) valid forms of identification with you on exam day. One will be surrendered at the building lobby and the second GARP acceptable identification (ONLY passport or driver's license) will be presented during check-in.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming August 2022 Exams scheduled in Singapore will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirement:

• You must wear your mask when you enter the exam building. After you are seated in your Exam you will be given the option to take off your mask.

Candidates who do not follow this instruction will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP's upcoming August 2022 Exams scheduled in Sri Lanka will occur as planned, all candidates must meet the below requirements:

• You must obtain a letter from your Local MOH office, issued within five (5) days of your exam date, certifying that you are not currently undergoing any form of quarantine or restriction in your PHI area. (This is a letter that your PHI issues or is your request letter certified by your PHI.) To locate your local PHI, follow this link.
• If you cannot obtain the above referenced letter, alternatively you must obtain a COVID-19 antigen test. This must be taken 24 hours before your exam appointment, and you must show this proof upon check-in.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay their exam fee when they re-register.

While GARP’s upcoming August 2022 Exams scheduled throughout China will occur as planned, candidates are required to complete the following COVID-19 safety measures.

Requirements may vary by region. Please see below for your exam location:

• Beijing, Changsha, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Xia’men, Xi’an, and Zhuhai:
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing).
  • Negative Nucleic Acid Test Report within 48 hours of your scheduled exam time.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3C.
• Hong Kong
  • Negative result of a self-administered RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) within 24 hours of the exam time.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.
• Chengdu
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • You will need to provide 3 negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.
• Jinan
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • If you are traveling from other provinces into Jinan, you will need to provide two negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment and the second is 24 hours (one day) after the first NAT. You must print the results and provide them to the staff during check-in. Note: If you are from Shandong and have not left the province, you will only need to provide a negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) Report within 48 hours of each scheduled exam time.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C
• Shenzhen
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • Negative Nucleic Acid Test Report within 24 hours of each scheduled exam time
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.
• Nanjing
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • If you have recently traveled to a region with high/medium risk, you will need to provide two negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment and the second is 24 hours (one day) after the first NAT. Note: If you are traveling from a city that is not high/medium risk, you will only need to provide a negative Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) Report within 48 hours of each scheduled exam time.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.
• Nanchang
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • You will need to provide three negative NAT reports. The first is 72 hours (three days) before each exam appointment, the second is 48 hours (two days) before each exam appointment, and the last is 24 hours (one day) before each exam appointment. Note: The last NAT report must be tested in Nanchang.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.
• Zhengzhou
  • Normal Health Code and Track Code (Green Standing)
  • Negative Nucleic Acid Test Report within 48 hours (two days) of each scheduled exam time
  • Temperature checks will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than or equal to 37.3 C.

Candidates who do not follow these instructions will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay the exam fee when they re-register.

GARP affirmatively supports the people of Ukraine. The conflict and suffering Ukrainians are now experiencing is shocking and horrific. War is never an answer. In support of Ukraine and its citizens GARP will donate all proceeds received from FRM and SCR candidates currently registered for our programs in Russia, and any other income received from Russian individuals or companies, to relief efforts and organizations directly assisting the Ukrainian people. • Negative test result: PCR tests are valid within 72 hours of the exam appointment date/time. Rapid antigen tests are valid 48 hours prior to the exam appointment date/time.

This is a letter that candidates can obtain from their local PHI, which they can find here. The letter must be issued and dated within five days of their scheduled exam date, and must be printed and shown upon checking in.

Candidates who do not present this letter will not be able to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay the exam fee when they re-register.

Due to a change in room capacity at our Singapore exam site (Agilitics Edutech Pte Ltd, #11-14, International Plaza, 10 Anson Rd, Singapore, 079903), Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) Exams Part I in July 2021 scheduled for Room #11-10 will now occur in Room #11-14. Exams will still occur as scheduled at the exact same time and location, and no additional action is required from candidates.

In addition, the local government mandates that all candidates located in Guangzhou provide a Nucleic Acid proof report valid 48 hours prior to their exam date/time and that all candidates located in Shenzhen provide a Nucleic Acid proof report valid 72 hours prior to their exam date/time.

While GARP's Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) Part II Exams Barcelona will still be administered on May 15, 2021, the Exams will occur at a different venue.

All candidates registered and scheduled for the May Exam will automatically be registered for the November/December Exams, which will be based on the same curriculum.

Candidates should allow some time for the exam window on their Dashboard to be updated to reflect this deferral to November/December. Once this is reflected on their portal, candidates must log in and schedule their exam appointment. As a reminder, appointments are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Due to local COVID-19 requirements in Frankfurt, Germany, all candidates there taking the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) Part I and Energy Risk Professional (ERP®) Part II Exams in May 2021 must: 

• Wear an FFP2 mask upon arrival, during, and leaving the Exam
•  Have written evidence of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) within 48 hours of their Exam

Note: There will be an official COVID-19 test station that administers free rapid antigen tests to candidates, with results available within 15-20 minutes. The station is a two-minute walk from your exam center. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday and can be booked online.

Candidates who do not follow the instructions provided above will not be allowed to sit for the Exam and will be required to pay the exam fee when you re-register.

Candidates must print the form, complete it in its entirety, bring it with them on exam day, and give it to their proctor during check-in. Anyone who does not complete the form will not be able to sit for the Exam will be required to pay the exam fee when they re-register.

Due to local requirements regarding COVID-19, all candidates taking the Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) Part II in Macau on May 15, 2021 must complete a Macao Health Code prior to sitting for the exam.

Candidates must complete the form on their mobile device the morning of their Exam. Anyone who does not complete the form will not be able to sit for the Exam. Additionally, your temperature will be taken when you arrive at the venue. The venue will follow the guidelines put in place by the Centre for Health Protection. If you do not meet the temperature requirement, you will not be allowed to enter and sit for the Exam.
