Understanding Asset Management and Improving the Financial Ecosystem
Asset managers are fundamentally different than other financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies. These differences are not always acknowledged or fully appreciated. Recently, policy makers globally have expressed an interest in examining the role of asset managers in the capital markets and their distinguishing features. In this presentation, Barbara G. Novick will discuss asset managers, the products they manage, and ways to improve the financial ecosystem in which they are managing portfolios.
This is a joint meeting with the CFA Society of San Francisco.
