François is an entrepreneur which operates at the nexus of financial markets, public policy and sustainable investing. François has more than 25 years of experience as an economist in public policy and financial markets. 

He is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Sustainable Market Strategies and Nordis Capital, respectively a research firm and alternative asset manager both built on the premise that investing in sustainability-themed megatrends can improve longer term risk-adjusted returns. François is also a part-time lecturer in economics and finance at HEC Montréal’s MBA program.

Jovanka Charbonneau is a senior economist at the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). She is responsible for the organization’s economic monitoring and macroeconomic forecasting. For the past decade, she has been analyzing the economy to help entrepreneurs better understand the risks and opportunities affecting their businesses. Ms. Charbonneau holds a master's degree in economics from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a certificate in big data and machine learning applied to economics and finance.

Jean-Charles Bouvrette joined Desjardins in 2010 where he is developing the data valorization strategy in risk management with his team. His main interests are risk analytics and pricing, stress-testing, ESG risks, capital adequacy and financial institution management and regulation. Mr. Bouvrette holds a Ph.D. in Finance from HEC Montreal.

Tiguene is an expert in model risk, focusing on credit risk and climate risk models. As part of the second line of defense, he is responsible for ensuring strong oversight and control of the risks that models pose to the bank.

Tiguene holds a PhD in Financial Engineering from HEC Montreal and is certified in Sustainability and Climate Risk by GARP. He also serves as a steering committee member of the GARP Montreal Chapter.
