Climate Risk Management: Addressing Supervisory Expectations in Tanzania

April 20, 2023 | Virtual Meeting

This event has passed.

Overview

In October 2022, the Bank of Tanzania – which regulates and supervises banks and financial institutions – published its guidelines on climate-related financial risks management.

To assist firms that are implementing these guidelines, GARP Risk Institute’s Jo Paisley and Maxine Nelson will describe current global climate risk management practices.

Drawing on insights from their annual climate risk management surveys, this webcast will cover:

  • Climate-related risks: what are they and how do they arise?
  • The global perspective on compliance and leading practices.
  • Governance, including board responsibility and strategy.
  • How to incorporate climate risk into risk management frameworks.
  • The use of stress testing and scenario analysis.
