Paris Chapter: Understanding the evolving climate risk landscape and its implications for banking, asset management, and insurance.

Climate risks are evolving, creating new challenges for financial institutions. How are these risks changing, where are the main vulnerabilities, and how are different segments of the financial industry adapting?

GARP and the CFA Society France invite you to attend this co-hosted event bringing together scientific expertise and industry perspectives to better understand the evolving climate risk landscape and its practical implications for financial institutions.

The event will open with a keynote by Anthony Schrapffer, Scientific Director of the EDHEC Climate Institute, offering a structured overview of climate risk trends, the key drivers shaping their evolution, and a mapping of the main risks facing the financial sector.

A panel discussion featuring professionals from banking, asset management, and insurance will then explore how these risks affect each sector differently, how institutions assess their exposure, and the approaches they are adopting to manage them.

Key takeaways:

  • A clearer understanding of how climate risks are evolving and which developments deserve particular attention.
  • A structured view of the main climate-related risks facing financial institutions.
  • Practical insights into how banks, asset managers, and insurers are assessing and responding to these risks.
  • An opportunity to exchange perspectives with experts and peers from across the financial industry.
