Frankfurt Chapter: Join the GARP Germany chapter for an exclusive in-person chapter meeting featuring a presentation by Thomas Miehe, Global Head of Model Risk Management at Deutsche Bank AG.

As financial institutions increasingly rely on models and AI-driven solutions to support business decisions, effective model risk management has become a key enabler of trust, resilience, and regulatory compliance. This session provides an introduction to the fundamentals of model risk management, covering its core objectives, governance framework, and the role of independent validation in ensuring that models are fit for purpose and used appropriately.

Building on these foundations, the presentation will also explore how the rapid adoption of artificial intelligence is reshaping the model risk landscape. While AI introduces new opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and decision support, it also creates unique challenges related to transparency, explainability, reliability, bias, and ongoing monitoring. The session will examine how established model risk management principles can be adapted to address these emerging risks while continuing to enable innovation.

Registration is required as seats are limited. Priority will be given to GARP Individual Members.
