Frankfurt Chapter: The GARP Germany Chapter is pleased to invite you to the next in-person session exploring one of the most challenging and often underestimated dimensions of modern risk management: organizational misbehaviour.
High profile corporate failures rarely stem from a single control breakdown or isolated decision. Instead, they are often the result of deep rooted cultural, behavioural, and governance issues that develop over time, frequently remaining undetected until significant damage has already occurred. For risk professionals, understanding these underlying drivers is essential to strengthening resilience and preventing future crises.
In this session, Sebastian Fritz Morgenthal, Head of Non-Financial Risk Management at Aspen Separation GmbH, will examine how organisational misbehaviour emerges, how it can escalate into a systemic risk, and, most importantly, how risk functions can identify early warning signs before they crystallize into major incidents. Drawing on real world case studies from multiple industries, Sebastian will introduce a practical analytical model designed to help risk managers assess behavioural risk drivers, cultural vulnerabilities, and governance blind spots within their organizations.
Key Takeaways:
- Understand the core drivers and root causes of organizational misbehaviour
- Learn how behavioural and cultural risks can evolve into material non financial risks
- Identify early warning indicators that risk functions can monitor proactively
- Gain practical insights from corporate disaster case studies
- Explore how non financial risk management can better integrate culture, conduct, and governance
Registration is required as seats are limited. Priority will be given to GARP Individual Members.
