Hong Kong Chapter: Some of today’s most transformative technologies, including tokenisation, Web3, stablecoins, and broader digital assets, are also among the hardest to grasp, from their use cases and financial market implications to the risks they introduce. Join the GARP Hong Kong Chapter for an engaging panel session that will discuss these technologies, draw key distinctions among them, and unpack their impact on financial markets.

Our panel of subject matter experts will provide a wide range of geographic insights, from Hong Kong, Singapore, and across Asia to Denmark and Europe, with a particular focus on risk considerations relevant to practitioners.

Bugra is a digital product professional with over 17 years of experience. He launched the first tokenized real-world asset from a bank for retail investors: HSBC Gold Token and led HSBC’s participation in Project e-HKD+. Currently looking after digital assets and currencies initiatives; previously he has done end-to-end product execution for two digital banks in two continents starting from the foundation work; digital transformation for one of the leading telecommunications operator in Europe. Most recently, he led the launch of HSBC Gold Token Gift Transfers which enables token gifting between customers.

He enjoys bringing difference and creative ideas in his work to enhance customer experience and drive commercial success further. He believes in execution and results rather than keeping ideas on slides.

Mathias Glintborg is a Danish technology executive and founder operating at the intersection of traditional finance and web3, with a strong focus on the tokenization of securities. He is the Founder of TokenForce, a Danish FinTech company building Europe’s compliance-first tokenized stock infrastructure, bridging traditional finance with crypto capital markets through onchain tokenization.

Through TokenForce, Matthias is pioneering Onchain Finance in Europe, with its first tokenized stock product coming to market this year. This product will allow stablecoin holders to gain exposure to traditional finance under a regulatory-first framework aligned with Danish and EU standards.

With a background spanning AI, cryptography, decentralized finance, digital identity, and blockchain infrastructure, Matthias has held senior roles including Head of Product at Partisia Blockchain and CTO of canow co., Ltd. He has lived nearly a decade in Asia, primarily in Shanghai, but also in Beijing and Tokyo, leading web3 companies on a global scale.

He is recognized for combining deep technical expertise with financial structuring and commercially viable models, making him a unique voice in the evolution of tokenized securities and regulated web3 infrastructure.

Ray Wong is the Founder of Asymmetry Capital, a firm investing in multiple emerging-tech unicorns and recently honored as "Web3 Asset Management Firm of the Year." He brings extensive expertise from his education at Carnegie Mellon and Cornell, along with his professional experience at Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse.

As a global thought leader, Ray shares insights on emerging tech at international platforms such as AsianInvestor, Bloomberg, Cambridge University, China Daily, China Tonghai Securities, ET Now, Finet, the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, and Yahoo Finance.

To foster the next generation of tech leaders, he serves as Chairman of the Asia Web3 Association and a Steering Committee member of the Asia Tech Entrepreneurship Competition.

Rena Kwok is a senior credit analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence specializing in banks and nonbanks in Asia. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Rena has acquired years of experience in the regulatory and front-line corporate lending aspects of credit under the large local banks in Singapore, OCBC, and UOB. She has knowledge in Basel Risk management, balance sheet management and credit. Her industry expertise spans across banks, real estate, wholesale, and retail sectors. 

Rena earned her bachelor’s degree (2nd Upper Honors) in Finance from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She is both CFA and CAIA charterholders and has obtained certificate in ESG investing by CFA Institute.

Andy is a technology pioneer with fifteen years of experience bringing emerging technologies to market across digital assets, fintech, and interactive entertainment, consistently at the forefront of defining new product categories.

He is currently a Partner at HashKey Tokenisation, the tokenisation arm of HashKey Group, one of Asia’s leading digital asset companies, where he works with global institutions on asset tokenisation strategy and digital asset adoption. 

Prior to this, Andy co-founded Mugen Interactive, where he pioneered new frameworks for blockchain gaming economies, launching a venture-backed strategy card game on Base and Ronin Network. At WeLab, a leading Asian fintech unicorn, he played a key role in launching one of Hong Kong's first digital banks and led market expansion into Indonesia. 

Earlier in his career, Andy led product development and commercialization at Tencent's Lightspeed Studios across major IP titles including KartRider Rush and Super NBA. He began his career as a research analyst at Merrill Lynch and Julius Baer.

Andy holds a degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

Previously he served as Head of Risk at Bupa Asia, and Head of Financial and Insurance Risk at Bupa International Markets - overseeing risk and governance for wholly owned businesses, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures (JVs) and strategic partnerships. Earlier roles include managing operational risk for Aspen (Re)Insurance’s alternative capital platform, and a financial services consultant at Grant Thornton UK LLP.

He is a public speaker on risk and emerging markets, a Committee Member for the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) Hong Kong Chapter, and contributor to industry publications such as AsianInvestor, Private Equity International and Re(in)Asia.  Rodney holds a Masters from The London School of Economics (LSE).
