CRO Perspectives: Building Resilient Risk Cultures amid Transformation
October 22, 2025 4:30 PM | Chicago Chapter | In-Person
Chicago: Join the GARP Chicago Chapter for an open dialogue with a long-term commercial banking officer, whose career expanded from Midwest banking to CRO of Chicago’s 4th largest bank. Is the extension of credit and maintaining relationships with customers and clients still the most important driving force in Banking? Our speaker will share their insights on how the CRO role has changed after the most recent crises over the past decade.
Key topics of discussion will include:
- How to establish and maintain a solid risk culture foundation in a world with mergers and acquisitions.
- Building and retaining relationships with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors.
- Where does artificial intelligence, crypto, third-party vendor management, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) fit into the risk profile in tandem with traditional CAMELS Bank Regulatory Ratings?
Registration is required as seats are limited. Priority will be given to GARP Individual Members.
