Deputy Chief Risk Officer, Amundi US
Allen Xiao is the Deputy Chief Risk Officer for Amundi US. Previously he was the CRO for Aviva Investors Americas. Allen is a member of the CFA Institute ESG Examination Subcommittee developing examination procedures supporting CFAI ESG Disclosure Standards. Additionally, he is on the panel of CFA UK Certificate of Climate Investing and is the Vice Chair of CFA Society of New York Performance and Risk Analytics Group.
Allen has extensive risk management experience with public and private assets including derivatives, real estate, and private equity. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Northwestern Polytechnic University, completed his MBA at Willamette University, and is currently pursuing his EMBA at University of Oxford as a Director’s Scholar.

Sarah Williams is Chief Risk Officer at The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. She oversees all aspects of the company’s enterprise risk function, including investment risk, derivatives use and governance, and operational risk. She also oversees Guardian’s enterprise risk appetite and serves as the chair of the Corporate Risk Management Committee.
Sarah has worked in the insurance industry since 2000. She joined Guardian last year from Global Atlantic Financial Group where she was Deputy Chief Risk Officer. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Global Capital Risk at MassMutual, leading the company’s assessment of international capital standards. Sarah also spent ten years at The Hartford in a variety of finance, actuarial, and risk roles, most recently as Vice President of Risk Analytics and Governance. She began her professional career as an auditor at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Sarah is a summa cum laude graduate with a B.A. in Accounting from American International College and earned an M.S. in Accounting from Western New England College. She became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter in 2004 and a Certified Public Accountant in 2007. Sarah is active in industry forums, including an appointment for a three-year term on the Insurance Policy Advisory Committee (IPAC) of the Federal Reserve Board, effective 2021.
VP Institutional Outreach & Business Development, GARP
Lida Rosa is Vice President of Institutional Outreach and Business Development at GARP. She focuses on reinforcing and expanding local awareness of GARP and its educational programs within strategically significant regions throughout North America and Latin America.
Before joining GARP Lida was Client Relationship Manager at Fitch Learning where she focused on increasing the company’s global footprint in South and Central America by providing tailored learning and development solutions to the financial services industry within those regions. Prior to that she was Client Solutions Manager at the New York Institute of Finance, providing custom training solutions for financial institutions within North America and South America.
Previously Lida was a sales executive at Thomson Reuters where she helped to increase the market share of the firm’s market commentary and analysis service within the Americas. Lida holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from New York University.
