Diversity and Inclusion: the Benefits of a Diverse Risk Team

Overview

Until recently diversity and inclusion (D&I) — when it was even discussed — was mostly about ethics or fairness. But now financial firms are discovering D&I can be a driving force for growth, revenue, and profits.

In the past two decades, risk management has evolved from a discipline to a critical, multi-dimensional function across the financial services industry. How can financial risk managers — particularly diverse ones — provide value to their organizations in an environment replete with extreme events and great uncertainty?

Please join us for the first GARP New York Chapter meeting of 2023 in honor of International Women’s Day. Our panel of diverse CROs will share their risk career journeys and discuss a variety of issues drawing from their own experiences, including:

  • How to build and retain a diverse risk team
  • How D&I can contribute to financial performance
  • How the role of risk manager has changed over time
  • The key skills needed for a successful career in modern risk management
  • Career advice for risk managers to grow and create value
