Overview

Quantum computing is a relatively new term that is rapidly gaining prominence. However, its far-reaching consequences are not fully understood.

Quantum computing offers incredible new capabilities to address extremely complex problems. This will enable empowered approaches to select business use-cases. But it also presents new risks. For example, quantum computers will be able to break the cryptography currently protecting our digital society. Enterprises should consider the impact of quantum computing as part of a long-term roadmap. In this presentation, two specialist executives will discuss:

  • Quantum computing: what it is, how it works, and the possible applications and risks
  • History of the term and the geopolitics surrounding the technology: what are governments and superpowers doing?
  • The impact on cryptography
  • Timeline expectations
  • Actions to take now
