Teuku Arckyansyah Meraxa (Arcky) is Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Strategic Initiatives at American Express (AXP), New York. He is responsible for AXP's ERM activities, as well as leading strategic initiatives pertaining to risks which include M&A risk reviews, ESG, and climate risk. Previously, Arcky had also worked as Director of Model Risk Governance which oversees AXP's quantitative model and artificial intelligence risk management. Prior to joining AXP, Arcky was a lecturer for the State University of New York (SUNY) - University at Buffalo (UB), teaching international trade and business courses for its New York and Singapore campuses. Arcky holds a PhD in Economic Geography and BA/MS in Financial Economics from SUNY - UB. He is also a Financial Risk Management (FRM) certificate holder from GARP.
