As regulatory expectations and investor scrutiny around climate risk intensify, financial institutions must enhance their risk management frameworks to embed environmental considerations, particularly in credit portfolios. This GARP event brings together risk professionals and sustainability experts to explore best practices and methodologies for identifying, assessing, and integrating climate-related risks into credit decision-making.

Some specific topics that will be covered include:

  • Understanding the types of climate risk (physical, transition) and their transmission channels into credit portfolios.
  • Overview of regulatory developments and their implications for credit risk management.
  • Quantitative and qualitative approaches to integrating climate risk into credit models and underwriting processes.
  • Transition planning for climate and environment risk management in credit granting and monitoring process.
  • Challenges in data availability, scenario analysis, and stress testing.
  • Practical insights from industry case studies and institutional implementation.

This session will offer a platform for sharing practical experiences, debating emerging challenges, and exploring innovative solutions that align financial resilience with sustainability goals.

The event will feature a dynamic panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session where attendees can engage directly with the speakers.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights, exchange ideas with fellow professionals, and stay ahead in an increasingly complex global risk environment!

Registration is required as seats are limited. Priority will be given to GARP Individual Members.
