Montreal: Insured losses in Canada from weather events in 2024 were the highest ever recorded and occurred against a trend of rising climate-related insured losses worldwide. Regions experiencing increasingly frequent and severe climate-related weather events on both the US east and west coasts are experiencing the retreat of some insurers.

  • How can property and casualty insurers and reinsurers respond to the growing losses from climate-related weather events?
  • What are the implications for property owners, financial service providers in banking and asset management, and other sectors?
  • What tools do risk managers have to address these challenges?

Our expert panel discusses these issues and more in this upcoming GARP Montreal chapter meeting.

Registration is required as seats are limited. Priority will be given to GARP Individual Members.
