Beth Gould Creller manages GARP's Energy Risk Professional (ERP(r)) and Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR (tm)) programs. Prior to joining GARP, she worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for over 16 years at Hess Corporation, where she developed an embedded Enterprise Risk Management program, key in company capital decision-making and asset valuation. Working across multiple continents, her energy career spanned corporate risk, internal audit, business controls, supply chain process improvement, and governance.
Real Asset Finance Associate, HSBC
Katie Webb is a real asset finance associate at HSBC working in project finance with a specific interest in clean energy projects. Previously, she spent 18 months on the European sustainability team in London, where she was responsible for supporting the bank’s clients in their transition to net zero as well as advising clients on sustainable financing considerations, engaging with them on their transition plans, and partnering with other organizations to enhance collaborative efforts on the transition.
She has also spent time working in other areas including future cities and new industries, corporates coverage, and financial institutions group coverage.
Senior Consultant, ESG, Responsible Alpha
Roger Leung has 25 years of banking experience in retail and investment banking risk management. He is currently an ESG consultant for Responsible Alpha, a leading ESG integration consultancy firm, and has led the ESG consultancy projects and training services for the banking industry.
Leung has a multi-decade background in risk management for Asian financial institutions. Previously he was assistant general manager of risk management at Industrial Bank Co., Ltd., where he led the implementation of risk management frameworks and various risk projects as well as VP of risk management of Bank of China International and manager of risk management at Standard Chartered Bank.
He has a Master of Science in Global Finance from New York University, a B.Sc. in Accounting from Robert Gordon University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Roger also earned his FRM Certification in 2010 and SCR Certificate in 2023. He holds several prestigious professional memberships, including Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Aust.) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).

Anup Samanta has two decades of subject matter expertise in sustainability, ESG, client experience, management development, enterprise-wide transformation, organizational change management, technology change management, consulting, and reporting and analysis in the technology, government, transportation and financial services industry.
He currently works as a client engagement leader for the IBM Innovation Studio New York, where he has designed and delivered over 100 engagements to showcase IBM’s strengths in technology, services, and culture through immersive experiences, Subject Matter Expert (SME) recruitment and prep, and Enterprise Design Thinking (EDT) workshops. He is also the project manager for the IBM Sustainability Accelerator project to partner with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to build a precipitation and flood forecasting model for the Appalachia Region.
