2024 Mid-Year SCR Program Updates

GARP will be making a series of key updates to our Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR^®) Exam and curriculum for the October 2024 administration. Here’s what candidates, including deferrals and retakes, need to know: 

Curriculum Changes

Exam Structure 

The October 2024 SCR Exam will feature 90 questions and two case studies over four hours, rather than 80 questions and one case study over three hours. For more information on pricing, please see the "Pricing Breakdown" table below. 

Program Updates

While the curriculum tested on the October 2024 SCR Exam will include all the topics covered currently, October’s Exam will also include coverage of new topics. The curriculum updates for October 2024 can be accessed via the GARP Learning platform only. The SCR eBook included with registration will not include any of the new learnings covered on the October SCR Exam. Exam Window

The October 2024 SCR Exam will be offered from October 19 and November 2. For more information on registering and scheduling your Exam as well as relevant deadlines, please visit our exam logistics page.  

Pricing Breakdown

Early and standard registration prices will increase by USD 75 for all October SCR Exam candidates, with the exception of deferrals (increase by USD 50) and retakes (no increase). For a full pricing breakdown, see below.
