Navigating an Evolving Landscape: Hiring Trends in Commodity Risk Management

Anthony is a seasoned recruiter based in Geneva, he serves as a Director at Page Group/Michael Page. Within this role, he supervises recruitment teams specializing in Finance & Accounting, Commodity Trading, Banking & Financial Services, and Legal professions.

Alessandro Mauro is a risk management professional, serving as Director of Risk management for BGN. He has been heading the risk management department of several commodity trading houses: MKS PAMP, LITASCO, SORGENIA. He started his career as a researcher at ENI.  

He has published several articles on energy and risk management. He earned a degree in political economy from Università ‘Luigi Bocconi', Italy, and a master's degree in energy, economics and environment from the Scuola Superiore ‘Enrico Mattei’ ENI, Italy. He is a visiting professor for the University of Geneva, MSc in Commodity Trading. 

More recently, Alessandro joined also the Global AI Association and has written the risk management section of the Association's feedback to the UN AI Body interim report. 

Khaja Qureshi serves as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for COFCO International.

In his position, Khaja oversees the risk management framework, including market, credit and operational risk as well as insurance.

He joined COFCO International in 2018 as Global Head of Market Risk and Deputy CRO before taking over day-to-day risk management operations as Managing Director Risk later in 2018.

Before joining COFCO International, Khaja acquired over 15 years’ experience in business risk operations and global commodities market risk management at JP Morgan and Socar Trading.

Alessandro Sanos is heading the global Customer Strategy function of LSEG’s Commodities, Energy, and Shipping offering of market insights, analytics, and data management. Alessandro is the Managing Director for Geneva, and before joining the London Stock Exchange Group, he worked for PwC in Greece, covering the shipping and energy market, and for JPMorgan Chase in the United Kingdom. Alessandro contributes regularly to leading industry events and financial publications on data and market trends. A guest lecturer on innovation and digital transformation, Alessandro is a member of the Executive Committee of GARP for Switzerland and the Chapter Head of Geneva for the CAIA Association
