Agnes K Y Tai is Chief EC.ESG Investment Strategist at BlueOnion and a Director of her family office, Great Glory Investment Corporation. She has held senior roles in the financial community across four jurisdictions over the past 43 years, including as co-Founding Director of Peregrine Asset Management (HK) in 1991. Alice is a former SFC-licensed Responsible Officer in RA 4 and RA 9. Her board training in sustainability, governance, strategy, and risk oversight currently spans five continents. 

She is Governing Board member of Climate Governance Initiative where she works closely with the World Economic Forum, a Steering Committee member of Climate Governance Initiative Hong Kong Chapter, an Expert Review Panel member for the MTR Corporation sustainability reports, an Advisory Board member of Asia Climate Forum, an ESG judge for the Benchmark Funds of the Year Awards, a Council member, Publishing Board of Magazine member and a Deputy Chair of the training committee of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD), faculty of Competent Boards, CSIA and FITC, board member of Hope of the City, advisory council/committee member of GARP Hong Kong chapter, FarmacyHK and Shao Ming Lo Foundation.

Agnes holds a Climate Designation certificate from Competent Boards, a Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) certificate and Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) certification from GARP, an ESG investing certificate from CFA UK, a CAIA certificate from Chartered Alternative Investment Association, and a Palladium Kaplan Norton Balanced Scorecard Certificate.

Agnes has a PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology with dissertation titled “Do carbon risks matter for Hong Kong equity prices?” She has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a BSc (Honors) from Roosevelt University in the U.S., and is a graduate of the Stanford University Senior Executive Leadership Program and the 2011 Stanford Directors’ College. She has authored a book on investing in H shares, a Harvard Business case, and a positive psychology book ‘Tall Miracles.’

In his career, Daniele has worked for two financial institutions (Deutsche Bank and HSBC) across four countries (Italy, UK, China and Hong Kong). Currently he is Director, Credit Insights and Intelligence in HSBC, delivering analytical and MI solutions for HSBC front line bankers and portfolio risk managers.  

 He started his career for Deutsche Bank in Credit Risk delivering regulatory projects. He subsequently joined HSBC Group to work on portfolio risk management as a quant and risk manager and later as a program delivery lead focusing on data science and advanced analytics.

Alice Suen is Head of Sustainable Finance, Commercial Banking, Hong Kong for HSBC. She is responsible for driving the ESG agenda among the bank’s business customers, including developing fit-for-purpose products and propositions, enhancing business customers’ awareness and understanding towards ESG, supporting clients in the development of sustainability and transition strategies, and assisting them in disclosure to gain better access to financial markets.

After working in the financial services industry for almost 20 years, Alice has a wealth of experience across frontline relationship management, business strategy, and people management. She has a dedicated focus on greater China business and has previously worked in Shanghai and the greater Bay Area.

Alice is a mentor in HKSAR’s Strive and Rise Mentoring Programme supporting junior secondary students from under-privileged families. She Alice graduated from University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management, with a Bachelor’s in Commerce and Finance.

Carl Chan is a Director at Accuracy with 15 years of professional experience in serving

financial institutions, large corporates, governments, pension funds, and others on topics

including ESG, data analytics, risk management, and portfolio management. Carl has led over 100 projects in his consultancy career.

Before joining Accuracy, Carl worked at HSBC, Moody’s Analytics, and Big 4 advisory firms.

He has collaborated with professionals including product specialists, researchers, system developers, and practice leaders to deliver engagements. Carl’s expertise includes ESG and sustainability, data analytics, and risk management.
