Richard Apostolik has led the world’s premiere association for risk professionals for 14 years. Previously with Bankers Trust’s (Deutsche Bank) strategic ventures group, Apostolik developed financial risk management initiatives designed to provide credit risk mitigation and management services to financial service companies. He also served as JPMorgan & Co.’s global head of energy brokerage activities and Chief Operating Officer of its global listed product businesses. He ran his own consulting firm and was responsible for the start-up of SG Warburg & Co.’s North American futures and options business. He was an attorney with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, practiced law with a private law firm in Chicago, and was the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s house counsel. Apostolik holds a BSBA, MBA, and JD from the University of Dayton.

Chris Donohue is the Managing Director of the GARP Benchmarking Initiative, a data analysis utility for financial services companies to aggregate and analyze sensitive data. Previously, Chris led GARP’s Educational and Research Programs, where he was responsible for overseeing all of GARP’s educational and research programs, including the FRM® and ERP® programs. Chris earned a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Michigan and in his free time enjoys playing ice hockey.

William May is a Senior Vice President and the Global Head of Certifications and Educational Programs at GARP where he is responsible for the FRM, GARP’s flagship certification program in financial risk management and the SCR, GARP’s innovative certificate in sustainability and climate risk. Prior to joining GARP, Bill had over 20 years of financial market experience including holding senior positions at UBS, Bank of America, Fitch Ratings, and Federated Investors as well as specialty firms like Andrew Kalotay Associates and Law and Economic Consulting Group. He began his career in the research function of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Bill’s interest in education precedes his time at GARP and he has taught finance and economics at the undergraduate and graduate level at StonyBrook University and Manhattanville College. In addition to his work at GARP, Bill is a board member of MercyFirst, a not-for-profit human and social service agency serving more than 3,000 children, teenagers and families each year in the New York metropolitan area. He also serves as a Senior Advisor to the One More Reason Foundation which focuses on promoting opportunities for the disadvantaged.

Michael leads the global outreach team in building industry relationships that strengthen awareness of GARP and the importance of risk education. His more than 20 years of financial market experience provides perspective when discussing current trends, challenges, and opportunities for supporting risk management capacity building within firms.
Prior to joining GARP, Michael was the Operating Officer at a privately held investment fund. He launched his career at Citigroup, focusing on credit, market risk, and product solutions for institutional clients.
Michael holds a Master’s in Finance from New York University and recently completed GARP’s Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR®) Certificate. In his spare time, he enjoys triathlon, tennis, cross-country skiing and traveling with his family.
