OVERVIEW

Tandem Finance is a company dedicated to financial education in Peru. The company´s shareholders are Paul Rebolledo, Rolando Luna Victoria and Joel Huacac, alumni from Universidad del Pacifico. Mr. Rebolledo and Luna Victoria previously worked together in the Central Bank of Peru.

Tandem´s professors combine both teaching and managerial experience in prestigious Peruvian universities and leading financial companies. Most of them studied obtained their graduate degrees in outstanding universities in the United States, Great Britain, among other countries. 

Tandem Finance started 5 years ago with the main goal of improving financial education in Peru guided by high standards of Ethics in the profession. Currently, more than 600 students from 100 companies have attended to our open classes and in-house training programs. Our open classes consist of preparation courses for applying to the CFA (level 1, 2 and 3) and FRM (level 1) exams. In order to enhance our capabilities and success in the exam, Tandem signed an agreement to utilize prep materials from Kaplan Schweser, the leading international prep provider. Our students benefit from the use of these materials. 

Our in- house programs mostly cover a wide array of topics such as Investment Theory and Practice, Portfolio Diversification, Economic Capital in micro-finance institutions, Risk Management, Application of IFRS 9, Wealth Management, among others. Our clients do not only belong to the investment side of the business, but also come from the risk management, finance and accounting commercial sides.

From a perspective view, Tandem Finance goals do not only focus on becoming the leading prep provider for CFA and FRM exams in Peru but also on widening its influence in other parts of Latin America. Recently, the company had its first international in house course in Panama for Atlantic Security Bank, the off shore branch of Credicorp, the leading financial group of Peru.  

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Number of hours: The duration of the prep course is 54 hours for the FRM exam

Methodology:

• Theoretical-practical classes; exercises are performed every class.
• Each class is assessed through an online Quizz graded and immediately solved.
• Students follow a reading plan as instructed by the teacher.
• Students receive a username and password from the Kaplan Schweser Qbank to enter and practice different difficulties as many times as required.
• At the end of the course, workshops are offered.
