National Australia Bank (NAB) CEO Ross McEwan has taken a proactive approach to the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in NAB’s business, where implementation of proper guardrails and risk processes is critical for success. Shaun Dooley

Shaun Dooley is the Group Chief Risk Officer at NAB. Reporting to the CEO and as a Member of the Executive Leadership Team, Shaun leads a team of highly skilled risk professionals, providing review, challenge, and guidance to NAB Business Units across all financial and non-financial risks. Mike meets with the NAB Board and local regulators on a regular basis.

Prior to his current role, Shaun was Group Treasurer. He holds a Masters of Science in Risk Management from the NYU Stern School of Business.

Shaun has been a GARP Member since 2013. He is the President of Hockey Victoria and serves on the Board of the St Kilda Football Club Foundation Limited.

Mike van de Graaf, FRM, SCR

Mike van de Graaf is General Manager Risk & Performance Measurement at Treasury Corporation of Victoria (TCV). He is responsible for financial risk management, risk appetite, risk policy, enterprise risk management, operational risk, risk technology, and business intelligence and new product development.

Previously Mike held executive roles at ANZ and worked with Deloitte in The Netherlands, U.S., and Australia. He has a Masters of Science from the University of Amsterdam and completed GARP's FRM® Certification and SCR® Certificate as well as the AMP at INSEAD. He has recently completed ‘Competing in the Age of AI’ at Harvard Business School.

Mike is Director of the GARP Australia chapter.
