Forecasting Electricity Demand Distributions Using a Semiparametric Additive Model
Synopsis:
Dr. Rob J. Hyndman will discuss an electricity demand model that applies a comprehensive set of variables to create a probabilistic view of future power demand. The model is currently being used by state energy market operators and local utilities to aid in the forecasting of electricity demand in various regions across Australia. This research is a central tenet of the Victorian Vision 2030 energy strategy.
