The ERP Exam is a 160 question, multiple
choice exam offered exclusively in English and administered in
pencil and paper format.. The exam is offered twice a year in May
and November at approximately
90 Exam sites around
the world. This format ensures fairness and consistency for all
global candidates.
ERP Exam candidates are allotted eight hours
to complete the exam which is comprised of two separate four hour
sessions (one four AM session followed by one four-hour PM

The passing score is determined by the
Energy
Oversight Committee. There are no penalties for incorrect
answers.
Candidates may only use GARP-approved
calculator while completing the ERP Exam. To review the calculator

Individual exam results are reported on a
pass/fail basis and are released via email approximately six weeks
after the Exam is administered. Candidates are provided quartile
results that enable them to assess their performance, relative to
other candidates, for each section of the Exam.
