Richard Apostolik is President and Chief Executive Officer of GARP.
Previously Rich worked with Bankers Trust's (Deutsche Bank)
Strategic Ventures group, where he focused on developing financial
risk management initiatives designed to provide credit risk
mitigation and management services to financial service companies.
He also co-developed CoVar, a dynamic counterparty credit risk
mitigation system, and specialized in advising clients about the
broader strategic applications of the use of derivative risk
management systems and financial structuring arrangements.
Apostolik was previously JP Morgan & Co.'s global head of
energy brokerage activities and Chief Operating Officer of its
global listed product businesses. Before joining JP Morgan, he ran
his own consulting firm, providing advice on start-up operations
and management issues to such major investment banks as Deutsche
Bank, Fuji Bank, Discount Corporation of New York and JP Morgan. He
was also responsible for the start-up of SG Warburg & Co.'s
North American futures and options business.
Apostolik has a BSBA degree with a major in marketing and an MBA
and Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton. He was an attorney
with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, practiced law with
a private law firm in Chicago, and was the Chicago Mercantile
Exchange's General Counsel.

Annetta Cortez is Founder and Managing Director of ACT Consulting,
Hong Kong, and author of 'The Complete Idiot's Guide to Risk
Management' (Penguin, 2010).
Previously she was a principal at
Oliver Wyman and as a senior partner at KPMG Consulting's Barents
Group where she led the international practice for Risk and
Performance Management and later the Asia-Pacific Enterprise
Solutions and Financial Institutions practices.
An experienced thought leader in the
area of risk and capital management, Cortez works closely with
major banks and regulatory authorities in Australia, Asia, the
United Kingdom, the United States, and throughout the Americas. She
has been involved in many Basel implementations.
Cortez holds an M.B.A in Finance,
Strategic Management, and International Management from the Wharton
School of Business as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in
Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.

Christopher Donohue

Christopher Donohue, Ph.D, heads the GARP Research Center and
is a member of the FRM committee. He is responsible for managing
the content development of GARP's certification and educational
offerings, developing new resources for GARP including risk
management courses, and conducting and supporting research in
financial risk management topics.
Previously, Donohue was a Partner at a hedge fund responsible
for the development of asset allocation tools for pension funds and
automated trading systems. Prior to that, he was a Director in the
Global Research Center at Deutsche Asset Management where he led
product research and development in the areas of asset liability
management, asset allocation and consumption optimization for
endowments, and optimal portfolio management with transaction
costs. He also worked as the Director of Optimization Technology at
Alphatech, a leading-edge technology and research defense
contractor, where he led algorithm development for intelligence
aircraft path planning and sensor scheduling systems.
Donohue has published several articles on portfolio management
and optimization. He has a BA from Hamilton College in Mathematics
and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in Operations
Research.

Martin Jacques

Martin Jacques, Ph.D, is Visiting Senior Fellow at the London
School of Economics IDEAS, a center for the study of international
affairs, diplomacy and grand strategy. He is also a columnist for
The Guardian and New Statesman. His book, 'When
China Rules the World: the Rise of the Middle Kingdom and the End
of the Western World,' was published last year and has already been
translated into many languages.
Jacques has been a columnist for The Times and The
Sunday Times and was formerly the deputy editor of The
Independent. He co-founded the U.K. think-tank Demos.
Jacques has been a visiting professor at Renmin University,
Beijing; the International Centre for Chinese Studies; Aichi
University; Ritsumeikan University; and a senior research fellow at
the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore.
He has a Ph.D. in history from King's College, Cambridge
University.

Vikram Nehru is the Chief Economist, East Asia Region of the World
Bank and Sector Director of the Poverty Reduction and Economic
Management, and Private and Financial Sector Departments in the
East Asia and Pacific Region. During the course of his almost
30 year career at the World Bank he has worked across the countries
of Africa and East Asia.
Mr. Nehru was previously the Director of the World Bank's
Economic Policy and Debt Department, covering macroeconomic and
debt issues for developing countries. Prior to that, he
worked extensively on issues of economic growth, financial sector
policy, and the implications of global trends and developments on
the economic prospects of developing countries including China,
Indonesia and Malaysia.
His latest works include: When is External Debt
Sustainable?; China 2020: Development Challenges in
the New Century; Indonesia: Imperative for Reform.
Nehru completed his graduate and postgraduate degrees at Oxford
University.

Kevin Chang, Ph.D, is the Head of Equity Derivatives Strategy
for Asia Pacific with Royal Bank of Scotland.
Prior to joining RBS in June 2009, Chang was Head of European
Active Equities Strategy at Barclays Global Investors in
London. He spent 10 years with Credit Suisse in New York and
London, in roles including, Global Head of Equity Derivatives
Solutions, Chief Risk Officer for Equities, FX Derivatives
Strategist, and Quant/Strategist in Fixed Income.
Earlier, Chang taught in the finance departments of various
universities, including the University of Southern California
(Marshall), New York University (Stern) and the University of
Pennsylvania (Wharton). While pursuing his graduate studies, he
worked at the OECD and the IMF and was a consultant to the World
Bank.

Liu has been in charge of ICBC's internal rating, market risk
and credit risk management, enterprise-wide risk management, BASEL
II implementation and promotion since 2000. In 2003, she briefly
worked in a Canadian bank.
Liu studied at the University of Canada. She is also a part-time
professor of the two research institutes of ICBC.

Heleodoro Ruiz is Head of Credit & Operational Risk Management
with Banorte, a role to which he brings more than 20 years of
banking experience with a strong emphasis on risk management.
Ruiz also serves as a director on several company boards: the Inter
National Bank in Texas; Dun & Bradstreet; and Transunion de
México.
He is an ITESM professor at Global MBA, and has authored a
number of articles on banking, finance and risk management in
different publications.
Ruiz is a frequent conference speaker for universities and
banking associations in America, Europe and Asia, on topics such as
banking, finance, and enterprise risk management.
He holds and MBA from the Instituto Panamericano Direccion
Empresas (IPADE) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM).

Urban Wilde is Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer, Asia Pacific,
at Barclays Wealth, the private banking and wealth advisory
division of Barclays PLC. He is responsible for managing the
coverage of risk issues across Asia Pacific, including providing
independent oversight and assessment of the risk framework design,
implementation and effectiveness. He oversees the Operational
Risk and Credit Risk teams across the region, and is a member of
the Barclays Wealth Asia Pacific Management Committee.
Based in Singapore, Wilde joined Barclays Wealth in August
2010. He was previously with UBS, where he had spent more
than 20 years in Basel, Geneva, New York, Singapore and Zurich,
gaining significant experience in Credit Risk functions within
Wealth Management in the Americas, Asia-Pacific and
internationally. His previous position at UBS was Managing
Director, Strategic Projects in Risk Control, Global Wealth
Management, based in Zurich.
Wilde holds a degree in law (LLB, University of Basel).

Samuel Po-Shing Wong, Ph.D, is Adjunct Associate Professor in
the Department of Statistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong
and has been teaching the master course in Credit Risk Modeling
there for the last four years. Prior to his return to Hong
Kong he taught at the University of California at Davis. Wong
is the Chief Consultant of RiskMan Limited, offering financial risk
management consulting and training to financial institutions in
Greater China.
Wong obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics from Stanford University.
He has been a GARP FRM examination reviewer since 2006.

Kayoko Yamanishi

Kayoko Yamanishi is Senior Vice President, responsible for
counterparty exposure measurement, at DBS Bank. Based in Singapore,
Yamanishi is involved in economic capital initiatives at the
bank.
Prior to joining to DBS in 2010, she worked at global financial
institutions, including Credit Suisse, JPMorgan Chase, and a
Japanese bank.
Her extensive experience in the credit portfolio
management space, including counterparty exposure management,
collateral risk management, credit transfer pricing and risk
mitigation/hedging strategies, as well as in the derivatives
markets, bring a deep understanding of credit risk and capital
market products and their inter-relationships. She has a successful
track record of enhancing the risk framework and culture of
organizations operating in a competitive environment and
multi-cultural settings.
Yamanishi has an MBA from Fuqua Business School, Duke
University.

Yue Yi

Yue Yi is Executive Vice President of Bank of China and a member of
BOC's group executive committee.
He has held many positions within BOC, which he joined in
February 1980. His previous role was as Global Head of Personal
Banking, before which he was Global Head of the Financial Market
Business.
Yue has also served as General Manager of the Personal Banking
Department of BOC. He previously held various positions in the
Retail Banking Department, the Seoul Branch and the Beijing Branch
of BOC.
He received his Master's degree in Finance from Wuhan University
in 1999 and is a senior economist.

Wang Zheng

Wang Zheng, Ph.D., is the Head of Risk Management at Guotai
Jun'An Securities, one of the largest investment banks in China. He
is responsible for firm-wide risk management and all initiatives to
create effective fiscal control.
His last role was as Chief Risk Officer of Xiangcai Securities
Co., Ltd., a mid-sized investment bank, based in Changsha City,
China.
Wang previously spent years working in the United States, for
example, in mortgage securitization with Deutsche Bank, and at J.
P. Morgan Chase. He started his Wall Street career in 1999, trading
mortgage- and asset-backed securities for both The Midway Group and
Luminent Mortgage Capital Inc., and managing their MBS and ABS
portfolios.
Wang obtained his Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of
California, Santa Barbara, and initially taught statistics and
financial engineering at Baruch College, and the City University of
New York.
