Abstract:
The Global Association of Risk Professionals will host Asia's most
anticipated gathering of senior risk professionals at its
7th Annual Asia Pacific Risk Convention, October 27 and 28,
2010 in Hong Kong.
Although extraordinary measures have been taken to revive the
global economy, uncertainties remain. Globally, financial
regulators continue to collaborate on principles for international
financial market regulation, and while the region saw an influx of
assets on the heels of swift adoption of stimulative monetary and
fiscal policies by Asian governments, some sectors are seeing asset
bubbles and overheated markets. In short, while the consequence of
corrective actions will be debated for some time, it is clear that
the global economy is still vulnerable to future crisis. Are Asian
institutions properly prepared to navigate the next wave of fiscal
turbulence?
